WENGER UNSURE

The Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has said that Abou Diaby’s chances of returning to action before the end of the ongoing season aren’t that good.

Diaby who has seen a lot of injury setbacks during his time at the Emirates stadium was supposed to get fit towards the end of February, but, Wenger doubts if that will happen.

Diaby has been out of action since the last 10 months or so and if he fails to come back in the next couple of months, it would become very hard for him to find a place in the France national squad which will be named for the World Cup finals.

Realistically few will be gambling on the Magpies to make the Champions League (although some of the less realistic supporters might be), so these are the two main issues. The bookies have already made early pre-season odds information available, so do they see Newcastle making Europe or dodging the drop zone?
