The French midfielder of Arsenal,AbouDiaby is not going through a very prolific season with his club as the last appearance that he made for the English club was back in September when Arsenal lost against Southampton in a Capital One Cup match.

According to medical scans and results, Diaby has picked up a hamstring injury that will keep him out of the playing grounds for the next 3 months.

Abou Diaby looking for contract Renewal

The future of Abou Diaby’s professional career is hanging in the balance, as he is without a contract at the end of the season.

He was once regarded as the next Patrick Vieira when he joined Arsenal from Auxerre several years ago. Several injury problems, though, limited him to only a handful of appearances in the last few years. Even this season, he has featured in only one match and it came in the Capital One Cup against Southampton. He has come close to full fitness on several occasions, but only to suffer a new injury setback.

ARSENAL KNOCKED OUT

Arsenal was knocked out of the League Cup after losing against Southampton with a scoreboard that displayed 2-1 after 94 minutes had passed and the final whistle of the match was blown.

When the match was over, there were a series of players that were put to blame in the squad of Arsenal as they made an underwhelming performance in the game which caused their club on suffering the rather surprising loss.

Diaby Full Of Confidence For New Season

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby says that he is full of confidence ahead of the new Premier League season which should see him return to playing regular football after a long time. Since the 2009-10 season, Diaby has constantly been on the sidelines. He has not made more than 21 appearances in the last three seasons. He was widely expected to return from the constant injury problems last season, but just one appearance throughout last season certainly did not inspire a lot of confidence. The midfielder has admitted that he has considered retirement.

Lindegaard Possibly On Way To France

Anders Lindegaard might be on his way to France this summer as he has been reported to be contacted by SC Bastia recently.

Lindegaard has not been getting enough playing time at his present club Manchester United. He is David de Gea’s understudy there and he is not pleased to be in that situation.

Bastia is understood to have promised him that they would give him sufficient amount of matches to play.

The problem that Lindegaard is facing at United is that he is the understudy of a guy who is a lot younger than him and is expected to get only better and better from here on.

Diaby hoping This Will Not Be Last Appearance

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby made his return back to football after a spell on the sidelines, but he will be hoping that this will not be his last appearance on the pitch. The Frenchman has suffered several injuries in the last two seasons. It has limited him to only a handful of appearances during this period. He has almost become the forgotten man at the club, but the midfielder came back to the page during the 1-0 win over West Brom on Sunday. The midfielder has not played since March 2013 and he has been training only for the last few weeks.

Arsene Wenger could have midfielder Abou Diaby back in midfield contention over the next few weeks after the Frenchman has recovered sufficiently to train.

Diaby has been one of the major absentees from Arsenal’s midfield over the last few seasons. A succession of injuries has seen the Frenchman made just a handful of appearance during this period. He has missed the whole of the season due to injury, but there are some positivity with the midfielder set to return before the end of the season.

DIABY HAS TALENT

Abou Diaby is regarded as one of the talented midfielders in Arsenal’s squad, but he has rarely featured for the club since joining the Premier league outfit from Auxerre in the 2005-06 season.

This is primarily been due to a succession of injuries, which appeared to have worsened in the last few years. Since the 2011-12 season, Diaby has featured in only 20 appearances. As a result, his career has been in major doubt. The midfielder, though, is now targeted a return to first-team football and also possibly featuring in the French national team at the World Cup 2014.

The positive result comes at a great moment for the English club as they had already lost against Bayern Munich a few days before.

Mesut Ozil made a disastrous performance against during the Champions League match against Bayern Munich as the former Real Madrid player missed a penalty kick and just seemed to be lost in the entire game.
