Abou Diaby continues struggling with injuries

AbouDiaby is a 30 year old French midfielder who is currently performing for Marseille but the experienced player has historically been affected and hampered by injuries which have left him out of the pitch for a significantly long period of time.


The first top European and well-known club that AbouDiaby joined was Arsenal. AbouDiaby completed his move to the Premier League club on January of 2006 and even back then, injuries have affected the French player.

DIABY CONSIDERS QUITTING PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL

Due to worsening injury problems, Abou Diaby has said he would consider the option of quitting the football career.


Diaby, who has formerly featured for the Gunners as a midfielder, went on to Marseille in an attempt to recover form. However, this did not work out as planned as he was beset by no less than 42 injuries from 2006 to 2015.

Cech believes in young players

Petr Cech believes that young players such as Rob Holding and Calum Chambers can successfully replace the injured Per Mertesacker at the heart of the defence.

The German international is set to miss at least five months of football and Petr Cech believes that Arsenal has enough players that can step up during his absence. Arsene Wenger has stated that he is still in the market for a new defender, but Petr Cech believes that there is enough talent at the club at the moment.
