The midfielder of Arsenal, Abou Diaby, has said that his team will continue its winning streak in the match against Reading.
After losing to Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League match earlier this month, the Gunners have come back and have won the last couple of matches convincingly. First they defeated Bayern Munich in a Champions League match on 13th of March and then, just after a couple of days, they got better of Swansea City. Arsenal won both the matches by the same margin of 2-0.
Arsenal will take on Reading on 30th of March at the Emirates Stadium and Diaby looked pretty optimistic about his team’s chances in that match.
Diaby said, “The victories always make you more confident. We have pulled off two convincing victories this month and one of them came against Bayern Munich which is a very strong team. This shows that we are playing well.”
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t make our way into the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but, we still have a very good chance of finishing in top 4 in the Premier League.”
“We are looking forward to the match against Reading. That will be a home game for us and we are backing ourselves to continue our winning streak.”
For Reading, this has been a horrible season so far. They have won only 5 out of the 30 Premier League matches in this season and only Queens Park Rangers are behind them in the Premier League points table.
Just a couple of days ago, Reading has appointed a new manager i.e. Nigel Adkins and the match against Arsenal will be Adkins’ first match as the manager of Reading. Adkins has replaced Brian McDermott who had been the manager of Reading since the last three and half years.
